Congratulations on another Home Run auction. It was a pleasure to see you folks in action the past two days. You displayed tremendous professionalism in selling 3,319 acres of "fair" farm land at an average price of $1,050 per acre for a total of $3,486,500, which far exceeded the expectations of the sellers. I counted about 300 people in the crowd for the two day auction and am sure that you had over 150 registered floor bidders, in addition to a number of registered on-line bidders and some properties were bought by phone bidders too. Your hospitality in providing a free hot lunch, deserts and refreshments was very well received by those that attended (please send the recipe for the Santa Fe soup, it was great). In visiting with several of the bidders, they advised that you folks fetched far more money than most of the tracts were worth. But the truth is that you set a new market value by properly advertising and promoting the event to get a great number of buyers to the auction. They paid a fair value for the land that you presented to them. You also showed a whole lot of people what you can do for them, when they or people they know have property to sell!!! Each and every one of your team deserves a big pat on the back for all their hard work and extra efforts to make this high profile auction such a success!!!
